Update: Viridian Glass and COVID-19

We continue to closely monitor the developing situation and restrictions being implemented to protect health and safety as the COVID-19 pandemic escalates. Please see some important updates below.

We are here for you

The recent announcement made by Federal and State Governments to shut down non-essential services does not apply to the building and construction industry. We continue to operate our glass processing and logistics facilities as usual with hygiene, social distancing and prevention measures in place.

Please touch base with your local representative or branch to discuss any order changes or updates as a result of this developing situation and we will do our best to assist.

Viridian Glass Staff and Risk

The Viridian Glass Leadership Team have mobilized a National Emergency Response Team to monitor the situation and advise staff, customers and business stakeholders during this time. They are meeting regularly to minimise risk, respond and act on Government restrictions and developments and ensure regular communication to staff and customers.

Safe Distancing and Social Hygiene

All team members who can work remotely are now doing so, and we are supporting our staff to do this.

All interstate business travel has been suspended.

We have no reported cases of COVID-19 in the business. However, we continue to remind all staff to ensure they stay home if unwell, practice regular hygiene, social distancing and avoiding face to face contact and personal visits with customers.

We have also implemented strict rules for all site visitors, all visitors must check in with a designated Manager responsible for the site prior to arrival. Please ensure you adhere to this and contact your local representative before making your way to a Viridian site.

This does not apply for regular deliveries and pickups as these are part of your usual business with us. Please ensure you maintain the regular hygiene and social distancing practices. Our drivers have been briefed on these measures also.

Our Industry – your business

We understand you may own, lead or are employed by businesses who are affected at this time. We know this is an uncertain and stressful time for many. If you require information about running and supporting your business through this crisis the Australian Glass and Window Association (AGWA) have released a Coronavirus information page on their website, take a look here.

This is a constantly changing situation, and we will continue to keep you up to date. For any questions please contact your regular, Viridian Representative, local branch or call 1800 847 434.
