What can Bonnie from Three Birds Renovations teach us about glass?
When Bonnie’s dream home was finally revealed during the most recent series of Three Birds Renovations, we had to pick our jaws off the ground. The entire property, from the white polvin fence to the two internal courtyards, is absolutely stunning.
We might be a little biased, but we loved the use of glass throughout the home. The combination of a neutral colour palette and an extensive glass design resulted in a home that is both spacious and light-filled. The glass also provided amazing views to the courtyards and a beautifully landscaped exterior.
And to think all this started from a traditional 90’s brick home.
Which glass products did Bonnie choose?
Bonnie understood the need to use high-performing, insulating glass for a north-facing home. Because of this, she decided on Viridian SmartGlass™, a single glazed low E glass that can improve insulation by up to a staggering 39% compared to ordinary glass.
However, SmartGlass™ wasn’t a ‘one-size fits all’ solution for Bonnie. We also saw her use our decorative range to amazing effect in the bathrooms and ComfortHush™ in the master bedroom to drown out the noise around her (particularly the kids) – something many of us can relate to.
What was the stand out?
While there is so much to love about the home, the stand out for us the creation of different pavilions that open onto internal courtyards, providing additional sources of natural light and views to beautiful greenery.
We’ve loved seeing this gorgeous home come together and look forward to seeing what the team do next!
